Legal Agreement

Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025 (Last Updated: 2026)

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Agreement" or "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "Client," or "You") and Local Electrical Experts ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Agreement governs your use of https://localelectricalrepairexperts.com, telephone scheduling interactions through 877-468-4093, diagnostic service requests, and on-site residential electrical repair work performed by independent service professionals in our dispatch network.

By scheduling an appointment, approving a diagnostic quote, or permitting a technician to inspect your electrical system, you accept and agree to comply fully with these Terms.

2. Service Model and Dispatch Coordination

Local Electrical Experts operates a nationwide dispatch and connection network connecting property owners with qualified, independent local electrical repair technicians. Our dispatch desk collects symptom reports, matches scheduling requirements with local availability, and routes service calls to field technicians. All physical diagnostic procedures, labor quotes, and electrical repairs are performed directly by qualified technicians on-site.

3. Diagnostic Evaluations and Repair Authorization

Understanding the true failure point of residential electrical panels and branch circuits requires methodical electrical testing:

  • Diagnostic Inspection Fee: Technicians arriving on-site perform systematic voltage drop testing, circuit load analysis, and visual inspections to determine the failure cause. This fee compensates the technician for travel, time, and specialized digital multimeter testing.
  • Written Estimates Prior to Work: Following diagnostic evaluation, the technician presents a clear written estimate itemizing necessary replacement components (circuit breakers, bus bar stabs, receptacles, wiring sections) and labor costs.
  • Customer Approval Required: No electrical repairs or component replacements will commence without your explicit verbal or written authorization. Declining the recommended repair leaves you responsible solely for the initial diagnostic inspection fee.

4. Customer Responsibilities and Panel Clearance

Maintaining technician safety and adhering to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards requires clear access during the service visit:

  • Adult Presence: An authorized adult occupant (at least eighteen years of age) with legal authority to approve repairs and financial expenditures must remain present throughout the diagnostic and repair visit.
  • Physical Panel Clearance: Property owners must provide unobstructed workspace (at least 3 feet of clear depth and 30 inches of width) in front of all main service panels, subpanels, and disconnect switches. Technicians cannot safely remove dead-front covers when obstructed by shelving, furniture, or storage boxes.
  • Safe Work Environment: Work areas must be well-lit, free of standing water, and clear of tripping hazards. Household pets must be secured in a separate area prior to the technician's arrival.

5. Power Interruptions and Pre-Existing Electrical Conditions

Residential electrical repairs frequently require de-energizing branch circuits or isolating the main service entrance:

  • Scheduled Power Interruptions: Technicians may need to disconnect utility power to individual circuits or the entire premises during panel troubleshooting or wire splicing. Customers are responsible for safeguarding sensitive computers and medical equipment.
  • Pre-Existing Wiring Degradation: We and our technicians cannot accept liability for failures resulting from aged, brittle, or obsolete household wiring (such as crumbling cloth insulation, ungrounded knob-and-tube runs, degraded aluminum wiring splices, or recalled Federal Pacific/Zinsco panels) that demonstrate pre-existing heat damage or structural decay during inspection.

6. Replacement Components and Safety Standards

Technicians install replacement components engineered to meet or exceed original manufacturer specifications and code requirements:

  • Component Sourcing: Common protective devices (standard single-pole breakers, tandem breakers, GFCI receptacles, AFCI breakers, wall switches) are routinely stocked for immediate repair. Specialty dual-function breakers, heavy-duty disconnects, or commercial-grade transfer switches may require sourcing through electrical supply houses.
  • Special Order Hardware: Specialty components ordered specifically for your electrical installation may require advance payment and may be subject to distributor return policies. Estimated delivery dates reflect supplier availability beyond our direct control.
  • Title to Components: Ownership of installed replacement breakers, receptacles, and wiring transfers to the Customer only upon complete payment of all invoiced parts and labor charges.

7. Limited Warranty and Guarantee Conditions

Professional workmanship and durable electrical installations are prioritized on every service visit:

  • Installed Parts Warranty: Replacement circuit breakers, receptacles, switches, and surge suppressors carry the warranty terms established by the equipment manufacturer, typically ranging from thirty (30) to ninety (90) days from installation.
  • Labor Warranty: Technician labor on the specific electrical component installed is guaranteed for thirty (30) days from completion of service against defects in installation.
  • Warranty Claim Procedure: Contact our dispatch desk at 877-468-4093 immediately if an identical circuit malfunction recurs within the warranty window. A follow-up inspection will be scheduled to evaluate the installed hardware. Defective replacement components will be re-serviced under warranty.

8. Warranty Exclusions and Voiding Events

Our limited warranty applies strictly to the specific electrical repair completed and explicitly excludes:

  • Unrelated circuit faults or breaker trips occurring on separate branch circuits after the initial repair visit.
  • Damage resulting from utility grid power surges, lightning strikes, severe brownouts, or downstream appliance short circuits.
  • Water intrusion into exterior conduit, meter bases, or breaker panels caused by roofing leaks, foundation seepage, or plumbing leaks.
  • Customer tampering, unauthorized third-party modifications, DIY wiring attempts, or deliberate overload beyond circuit capacity ratings.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Local Electrical Experts and its affiliated technicians shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to electrical failures or repair services. This includes, without limitation, electronic data loss, food spoilage during necessary power shutoffs, temporary lodging costs, or secondary damage caused by pre-existing hidden wiring faults.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from service shall not exceed the total monetary amount actually paid by the Customer for the specific diagnostic or repair service that gave rise to the claim.

10. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments

Field technicians reserve dedicated arrival windows to provide focused attention to your electrical diagnostic request:

  • Notice Requirement: Customers needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment must provide notice at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled dispatch window by calling 877-468-4093.
  • Late Cancellation & Missed Visits: Appointments cancelled with less than twenty-four hours notice, or visits where the technician arrives during the confirmed window and is unable to gain entry after reasonable contact attempts, may be assessed a trip or dispatch reservation fee.

11. Payment Terms and Invoicing

Full payment for diagnostic evaluations and completed repairs is due immediately upon completion of service. Technicians accept standard major credit cards, debit cards, and approved electronic payments. Delinquent balances after thirty (30) days are subject to standard collection fees, interest charges, and reasonable legal costs incurred during balance recovery.

12. Governing Law and Severability

These Terms shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the repair service is delivered. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining terms shall continue in full legal force and effect.
